Double Blind caught my attention as it is a horror movie based around a psychological study. double blind is actually a research approach used in psychological research. The entire point of a double blind study is that both the researcher and the participants involved are unsure as to if the participants are receiving an actual treatment or a placebo.
However its a fact that's completely irrelevant to the film and i don't know why they didn't explore it more. The premise is this, a group of human participants in a drug trial find that the drug they're on may very well kill them in their sleep and so, they have to stay awake until help arrives. There's some cool stuff you could do with that premise and the film isn't bad, it just didn't go as far as it needed to, i was expecting something along the lines of the Russian sleep experiment creepy pasta story, but instead its a fairly generic but entertaining horror film.
It's ok but If it leaned into the sheer madness staying up for weeks would cause people it would have been a far more interesting and frightening film.
