Monolith, I'm all for low-budget, single location indie thrillers but this film was a pile of shit that couldn't even be saved by its lead actress doing the very best she could with the shitty material she was given to work with. The film begins compellingly enough, we're introduced to our lead who is a podcaster trying to crack the case of a mysterious brick that when people have it in their possession it causes them to have disturbing visions. Is it a government conspiracy or some form of alien communication, the answer?, its fucking boring is what it is.
Monolith is one of those films you can tell was made by a pretentious art or film school student who wants the audience to ask them what their shitty little indie film means, frankly i don't give a fuck.
It's a repetitive boring dirge of a film that is tedious to sit through, so much so in fact I nearly screamed at the screen, demanding that it get to the bloody point.
Fuck this movie.
