The Artifice Girl directed by and starring Franklin Ritch is a phenomenal science fiction movie about a team of forensic investigators developing an A.I program to help identify and capture child predators online. It is one of the most criminally underrated science fiction films of all time.
It masterfully approaches the subject of what would happen if an AI reached full self awareness, presenting how it would think, feel and experience empathy in a really unique, logical and realistic way.
It asks a lot of philosophical questions, most prominently on the subject of A.I consent.
If an A.I becomes self aware and its thoughts, feelings and emotions are a composite of human teenage models it has observed and its primary objective is as unpleasant as having to dig out and to interact with child predators, is this right and can it consent to engaging in such a troubling activity.
I cannot praise this movie highly enough,
It's very reminiscent of the video game Detroit:Becoming Human, it even features Lance Hendrickson in a literally identical role towards the end. Go and watch this now, it's great.
