Body Cam starts off well enough,
with the central idea of what if “End Of Watch” was a horror movie. I thought that would actually be a very interesting good concept for a film, watching two police officers respond to a call and things go from bad to supernatural.
That would work so well in a film told in a found footage style with the bulk of the action being seen from behind a body cam.
At least that’s what I thought I was going to get,
what I got was a lot more cliche and frankly boring.
I'll credit the film for its production values and its fairly gripping opening only, that's all it has going for it, everything else sucks. Also I'm tired of social commentaries in films, If you're going to make a film which touches on police brutality, it has to be a really, really good film. The concept this film tries to play on isn't all that different from the Candyman reboot, which was also terrible but had a good idea at the core of it.
I don't recommend this movie at all,
it was a bore.
