Dark Places is an extremely average film
with some great actors in it and it gets progressively more boring as it goes on. The script has a lot of stilted dialogue in it
and the twists and turns that are supposed to come across as completely unexpected bar one are all predictable.
It starts well and ends up to be another middle of the road,
slightly tedious thriller. The first hour is actually quite good but after that it plods along at a snails pace, the characters are all pretty bland, its only real saving grace is that it has one original concept that given a better film could be quite compelling but other than that there’s nothing interesting here.
I can’t recommend it as I wrote this review watching the last ten minutes of the film, I think that tells you all you need to know about this movie.
