Level 16

Level 16 starts of fairly promising but quickly becomes plagued by pacing issues, bland lifeless characters and a far more uninteresting plot than it promised in the first ten minutes.

The opening throws the audience into a cold semi-dystopian underground girls school, where the students are being kept isolated from the world outside due to the conditions of the earth, its stated that the air is polluted.

The set up isn't bad, it has a nineteen fifties meets apocalypse look to it, with the girls being kept in line by an oppressive matriarch, dressed to the nines with a transatlantic accent. it's original, at least the opening is.

The rest is honestly quite boring and predictable and the end is anticlimactic. Add to that it has some very obvious feminist social commentary that really has less to say than it thinks.

I don't recommend it.
