Bloody Hell (2020)

Blood Hell directed by Alister Grierson, starring Ben O'Toole is an action, horror comedy in the vein of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. It's about a ex-military lunatic named Rex who is recently released from prison after saving a bank from being robbed by brutally killing all the thieves involved, resulting in one innocent casualty that causes him to be locked up for manslaughter, when released he travels to Finland and gets kidnapped by a family of cannibals, can his particular set of skills help him escape or will he be lunch for their mongoloid son?.
That's the set up and it's a load of fun.

First off there is so much of Ash Williams in Rex's DNA,
he reminds me of a cross between Robert Downey Junior (who he is a dead ringer for) and Bruce Campbell. I loved his character in the movie, he's the best thing about it by far.

The film itself is good, the ending is a bit rushed and my only complaint was that I wanted more, because that's how much I liked this character and the world they created, apparently its first part of a three part franchise, which I really hope it is,
If they fix the issues I had with the ending in later entries where they have a bigger budget this could be a franchise that's eventually a cult classic up there with The Evil Dead.

If you enjoy Sam Raimi's style of horror,
This is definitely for you.
