Glorious

Glorious is a weird, weird film. It's the only horror film to have its plot centre around a deity who is bound to a glory hole in a public restroom.

The only thing that really kept me watching it was JK Simmons performance as the Lovecraftian God "Ghat", It really shows that JK Simmons can elevate any movie with his presence.

So, what is a deity doing in a glory hole, well trying to convince the films lead named Wes (played by Ryan Kwanten) to perform a favour for him (..perhaps not the one that first comes to mind given the location) which if he does not agree to will result in the complete destruction of all life in the universe.

Its original that's for sure, but is it good?
its ok, really JK Simmons is the only thing worth watching in this movie, he has some really funny moments but other than that, Ryan Kwanten is not particularly interesting and is honestly a bit amateurish of an actor, I think when you have someone who is a an acting veteran like JK Simmons they really need to be paired with a cast that can match up, otherwise the difference in ability sticks out like a sore thumb.

Its not the worst thing I've ever seen,
and the majority of it is decent enough but there are some decisions made in the script that just fell flat for me,
which is saying a lot given that it's a story about a god trapped in a toilet communicating through a glory hole.
