Clown

Clown is a passable horror film with one very cool idea, what if the concept of clowns originated from an ancient demon that ate children....oh wait, that's basically Stephen King's IT. What I will give the film is that its entertaining, it's stupid, nonsensical, ridiculous but sometimes you want to watch a movie that's just dumb fun and that's what this is. So, what's it about, it's about a man who finds a clown suit and puts it on as the clown who was supposed to show up for his son's birthday has cancelled, only trouble is, he can't get it off.

I think it gets somewhat of a pass from me purely because Peter Stormare is in it and he does try to sell the shit out of its concept, It also has a unique creature design that's very Stan Winston, it almost looks a little like Pumpkinhead..but a murderous Clown.

Now, onto the negatives. The biggest is that as cool as the design is we see it for about ten minutes of screen-time, the rest of the film is fixated on being The Fly but with A Clown. However we never get to see our lead transform right up until the end, for most of the film he just looks like a regular Clown but one that's addicted to meth.

Also I get its a B movie but characters make decisions that make absolutely no sense. They're basically asking to be killed with the choices they make in this film.

Ultimately, it's fine, it's not as terrible as it could have been but its not good by any stretch of the imagination.
