Consecration directed by Christopher Smith is an occult mystery about a woman named Grace played by Jena Malone who travels to a convent with the intent of solving the mysterious circumstances around her brothers death. I didn't particularly like this film at all, while it had a good atmosphere and a few interesting ideas it never landed any of them particularly well and felt pretty boring throughout, for a film with a rough run-time of 90mins it felt very, very long.
The script is pretty weak, convoluted and disjointed, the characters are underdeveloped and uninteresting and while the acting was fairly good the characters the actors are portraying are one dimensional and uninteresting. I go into every movie wanting to love it, especially smaller budget unknown movies like this but honestly it's not worth your time.
