Thumper is a fairly average but well acted street level crime drama, I can't go too much into the plot details as it all revolves around a pretty major twist, what I can say is that it was fairly unbelievable, no matter how decent the performances were.
It's one of those films that focuses on bringing the audience into the seedy underbelly of society, in this case the meth world and the police work involved in taking down meth cooks. It does a good job at making some of its characters sympathetic but they're not as compelling or complex as anyone you'll find in Breaking Bad. The story is too straight forward and simple for its own good, after a particular reveal is made it doesn't really go anywhere, the tension that is created in the last act eventually fizzles out with little to no consequences shown.
It's not the worst street level crime drama I've ever seen but it's pretty forgettable.
