These Final Hours is the best film you've never seen. In a way that is reminiscent to the Last of Us, the film uses an apocalyptic setting to explore how human beings respond to our inevitable end.
While there is action spread throughout the film, its a drama first and foremost and it is an rough and inspiring watch which asks the audience, if you knew you were going to die within twelve hours what would you do?.
The thing that is extremely original about this film is the way it handles its subject matter, each person responds to the oncoming apocalypse differently, some try to block it out by taking drugs and being as hedonistic as possible before the end, others take matters into their own hands and check out early, committing suicide and taking their children with them.
Others try to find meaning.
These final hours is a film about humanity and hope,
and how hope is the only answer to nihilism, as fleeting and ultimately meaningless as our lives are, the only thing that truly matters is that we can make a positive difference to someone else with the time we have left.
It is a beautiful film and I urge you to watch it.
