Uncle Peckerhead shows that you can't judge a film by its title. the story follows a band on tour with a man-eating demon who takes a liking to them and becomes their roadie. David Littleton is the star of the show here as the endearing and awful Uncle Peckerhead, a lot of the laughs come from the fact that he is a a charming southern gentlemen who's only flaw is that he loves to kill people.
On the killing front, the gore in this film is brutal but all done with a slapstick sense of humour. It's a quirky weird movie, the direction is very similar to Edgar Wright, in fact if you told me he directed this movie I'd believe you. You can imagine the pitch for the movie was that its Scott Pilgram Vs The World but centred around a demon roadie.
Its surprisingly heartwarming in places, funny, and commits to its concept whole heartedly.
Totally recommend it.
