The Apprentice is a real soft ball of a film, it feels like it is afraid to go into just how terrible of a person Donald Trump is. Sure it covers the fact that he is a ruthless psychopathic business man who doesn't care for anyone other than himself and it has one scene in particular that is gross, awful and violent, when he rapes Ivanka Trump but that's not up to scale with just how deplorable of a human being he truly is.
The man is accused of multiple rapes, is addicted to drugs and absolutely does huge amounts of cocaine, yet in the film he is shown as being T-total for the most part, although he does use speed later on in the film as a "slimming tablet" but that frankly isn't enough.
This man is absolutely involved with the most seedy disgusting aspects of the political and upper class groups of America, which is precisely what the film should be about. Where is his connection to epstein, where is his rampant drug use and persistent sexual violence? Its not here, but the film makers are too afraid to commit to telling the story of the all-american monster that is Donald J Trump. Sebastian Stan however gives a very good performance, but i didn't care for the film at all. It is poorly paced, and frankly quite boring.
