Never Let Go

Never Let Go surprised me by how competent it was, I was ready to dismiss it as another generic horror film on the way to watch it, but I have to say its an entertaining dark fantasy with a stand out performance from Halle Berry.

The premise is that a family is being preyed upon by an unknown evil that lives in the woods by their house, which is only kept at bay when they leave to forage for food when they are tethered to a rope.

That in itself is interesting and different enough of a premise to set it apart from other run of the mill horror flicks, I also appreciated that the lore was never explained.

While being a run of the mill horror film, it isn't afraid to go to some fairly dark territory.

All in all I think its a solid movie.
